I had my first real job at 17. I started to earn and spend my own $$, tryin' to be financially independent. It doesn't matter whether I come from a rich or a poor family. I've always wanted to be financially independent. People think how come I tend to be saving more than I'm spending. These $$ aren't mine. They're my folks' hard-earned money & they're sponsoring me 'cos I'm furtherin' my studies overseas. So what if they could afford it & send me extras? It doesn't mean I'm gonna spend 'em freely. I feel bad already thinkin' they spent so much on me for my education. I'm used to earning my own $$ & spendin' my own $$. I would feel happier spending my own $$, whenever I feel like 'pampering' myself. That only feels right to me.
